Tibiri Bar, also known as El Tibiri or El Tibiri Tabara, is a down and dirty, informal basement Salsa bar. Since 1992, this Medellin Salsa bar has filled its nights with Guaguango, Bogaloo, Rumba, Pachanga, Guajira, Bomba and Cha Cha Cha. It is a place to dance fast Salsa to the limit. Although it is frequented by university students, its public also includes a more elderly crowd and some foreigners. From time to time there are dance shows, but in general it is a place where people just let go, without formalities. This basement with little ventilation, where "walls sweat", opens Wednesday to Saturday evening, from 10PM to 2AM, and can be easily reached by Metro from the Estadio station, or on any bus route that passes through San Juan Avenue .
